In 2013 alone the world used 8.5 billion Keurig K-Cups, enough to circle the Earth 10.5 times according to this video.
To raise awareness of that waste, Nova Scotia -based video production company Egg Studios made this mock horror sci-film. It’s called “Kill The K-Cup.”
It has alien monsters, explosions, the military called in, flying Keurig saucers, all quite Independence Day-ish. It’s in the spirit of movies The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield, but for a good cause. The cause of reducing waste.
Just note that it’s NSFW because of slightly foul language, in our opinion, so turn down the volume (or use headphones)
