Keurig Recalling over 7,200,000 coffee makers — are you or friends affected?

Uh-oh, Keurig Green Mountain is recalling 7.2 million coffeemakers in the US because they can overheat and spray hot water, resulting in burns.

The model affected is the MiniPlus Brewing System model K10.

There have been 200 reports of hot liquid escaping from the brewer including 90 reports of injuries from burns.

The recalled brewers have an identification number starting with “31” printed on the bottom. They were sold online and in stores in the U.S. and Canada between 2009 and 2014.

Consumers are being urged to call Keurig Green Mountain Inc. of Waterbury, Vermont, at 1-844-255-7886 to arrange for free repair.

Here’s what the K10 looks like.  Do you know anyone who owns one?  Forward them a link to this page.

Below is a picture of what it might look like if the Keurig K10 malfunctions.  (Well to be honest that’s a picture of Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park)
